腕は、肘と肩の間の長い部分が上腕upper arm、肘から手首までの長い部分が前腕forearmと呼ばれます。腕を曲げて力こぶをつくったときの力こぶの部分の筋肉が、上腕二頭筋 biceps 。上腕二頭筋の裏側にあって、上腕二頭筋が収縮するときには弛緩し、上腕二頭筋がが弛緩するときには収縮しているのが、上腕三頭筋 tricepsです。英語のサイトをみていると、上腕のことを単にarmと示しているものも見かけます。
