昔からよくきく議論として、息子の知能は母親譲りだというものがあります。知能の遺伝子はX染色体上にあるので、息子の遺伝子型は男性だからXYで、そのX染色体は母親から伝わったものだからという説明です。

そういういえばそんな気がするなあといろいろな家庭を見ていてなんとなく思っていたのですが、科学的な根拠がどれくらいあるのかはわかりません。
